"It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man."
Psalm 118:8
I find it interesting, or telling, that this is said to be the center verse in the Bible, and this is where my reading took me today. It's such a vital reminder to remember what is really important....trust the LORD!
This reminded me of a similar verse found in the book of Proverbs:
I took this photo, the Sea of Galilee with the Golan Heights in the background, from our hotel in Tiberias while on our tour of the Holy Land five years ago. I had just got my first Kodak digital camera and I couldn't believe I was actually capturing pictures until after the trip when I had them printed. I can't imagine not having my trusty digital camera, Canon PowerShot 720 now, nearby.
This reminded me of a similar verse found in the book of Proverbs:
"Fear of man will prove to be a snare,
but whoever trusts in the LORD is kept safe."
Proverbs 29:25
