Pacific National Exhibition

The PNE has been a highlight on the west coast for 99 years. Every August- last two weeks before Labout Day- we anticipate the fair. It has changed tremendously since we first started attending many years ago. It started as an agricultural event - showing off the fine fare of the garden, both vegetable and flower.

But on Monday the main event was to have fun with my daughter and young grandson and to vicariously experience the thrill of all the rides through the little fellow's enthusiasm. To see the sheer exuberance and complete abandonment that our little four-year old grandson exhibited was exciting and exhilarating. He insisted I go on the roller coaster with him...wheeeeee!
The roller coaster.

...and of course there was cotton candy, tiny sugar donuts, and yes of course, scones:

...and all those thrilling rides...

...the Merry-Go-Round...

..and where is that ferris wheel?...let me check the map...

I can see you, Grandma...

All good things come to an end...so till next year PNE, thanks for the great day!

That Ferris wheel pick is great. The composition and colours are fantastic.
